EP 99 | Does BEING PRESENT feel impossible some days? Mom of 5 shares SECRETS to finding BALANCE! With KELSEY SCISM, Loving Our Lord Blog
You know those times you have an incredible conversation with a friend and you walk away just feeling relieved that you're on the journey together and that you have each other to lean on? And what about the way you feel when you actually have tips and tools to bring back to your family that work in real life?? Today we're talking about how no season is wasted by God, how each of our children need their own special memories with us, how we mess up in creating these intentional moments, but how we can always get back up and keep building our family strong. Let's balance the busy yet STILL be PRESENT.
Let's grow,
Jennifer

HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS EPISODE!
God speaks through my children to me.
When you’re in a season you don’t want to be in, don’t wish it away or pray it away. The seasons matter.
“We always think time is the problem. Like ‘if I had more time I’d do this and that better.’ But time isn’t the problem. It’s what we do with that time and how we use it.”
My blog is a reflection of how I do life WITH God.
We don’t have to squeeze the most out of every drop. We truly can use the small moments.
Use car rides as a chance to connect, ask questions, and don’t lecture
Give them a “mom minute” that they want. If you can’t stop what you are doing, invite them in to be with you and what you are doing.
The special moments come when we have longer time together and these can be in everyday moments.
Togather™ stickers have helped our family to focus our mealtime and focus our conversations.
it gives us one moment in our day where we can sit face to face and look at each other
the kids absolutely love them.
a great side effect is that they have little time to complain about the food :)
Kelsey’s goal for writing at “Loving Our Lord” blog is to share the ways God speaks to her in little ways in everyday moments. She wants moms to have the same in their lives. She wants others to be encouraged to seek God in their own journeys and connect with God on a daily basis in their lives, too.
