HIGHLIGHTS FROM THIS EPISODE!

  • Chanelle’s journey into motherhood began with feeling overwhelmed from the mental load of raising her four young children (now she has 5!). She began to look intentionally at who she was as a mom and what she wanted it to look like and it changed everything.

  • When changes in the seasons hit, pay attention to your HABITS. What do you need to prioritize?

  • One of the best secrets to our days being successful is focusing on “ORGANIZATION” in our life, but not the kind that keeps our home organized. That’s important, but when we organize our thoughts and our “to-do”s for the day, we can lighten that mental load.

  • How do I set my priorities for the day? Ask yourself this question: If you could only do three  things today, what would those three be? These are not the urgent things, necessarily, but rather “what can I do today that will make me better tomorrow?” Do the most important things.

  • Celebrate your daily wins!

  • When our rhythms change, how can we keep ourselves on the list?

    • Know your non-negotiables and commit to them

    • Ex: Morning routine/self-care. Do 4 things that are most important to you (journal, prayer, workout, etc.)

    • Even when you just get a “taste” of the self-care, that MATTERS. Still do it. Make it happen, it’s a win you can build on tomorrow. Keep reinforcing the habit

    • Don’t let perfection get in the way of doing something good.

  • The importance of self-care.

    • We often feel too guilty for ourselves

    • Put yourself on the list withOUT leaving your family behind

    • You will come back to your family a much calmer and better version of YOU

    • Let go of the guilt and do good things for yourself

    • Real self care is to ask yourself WHAT DO I NEED REGULARLY? And WHAT DO I NEED IN THE MOMENT?

    • Self care might not be a skill yet and that’s okay. Start small.

    • When this gets on the list, you become the priority.

Final Togather™ Thought…

Do one thing today that keeps YOU on the list. Make it something that leaves you feeling like: “I matter.”

Create Non-Negotiables that you do every day for yourself, but DO NOT try to be perfect at them. A little dose of them is better than nothing.
