EPISODE 4

Decluttering led her family down a path of regret. Bravery, screen detox, & more with APRIL WHITING

April chose a second chance for her family after she realized they were “alone together”. She says she gave childhood back to her children and forever changed the future of her family.

How aware are we of the “noises” in our lives and the ways these distract from what is really the most important?

How easily are screens stealing time and connection and childhood in your family?

  • Screens produce dopamine. The same chemical-release that drugs cause in our bodies.

We have got to be vigilant as mothers, as parents in our families. And NOT just with screens.

How do we slow down and appreciate what is right in front of us?

  • Monitor how often you are on the screen or handing the screen over.

  • Know and remind yourself of your own personal “WHY”. Why does it even matter?

April shares real ways we can limit screen time EVEN with bored children :)

And YES, screen detox was and IS hard in her family, but the values it has brought to her family tree forever are worth any of the frustrations and obstacles.
